6 Great Apps to Help You Stay Organised

Do you often feel overwhelmed by the sheer length of your to-do list? Why not use one of the fantastic apps available designed to help you schedule and manage all your tasks?

Here’s a list of some great apps to help ensure you stay organised and can maximise your productivity.

Planner Pro

Planner Pro offers a great way to organise your time. It allows you to keep tabs on your schedule and manage your to-do list simultaneously.

You can access the calendar view, a notes page, and a track list from the homepage.

In the calendar view, you can:

  • See a list of events happening on a particular day.
  • See when any tasks are due.

This means you have no need to switch back and forth between your schedule and tasks. As a result, you will not need to context-switch too often, and can therefore be more productive.

With Planner Pro you can set multiple reminders, label tasks according to priority and break larger tasks into smaller ones using subtasks. On the Tasks page, all your tasks are kept organised, so you know which tasks to tackle and when. Use the Inbox tab, the Today tab, and the Due Soon tab to help order your tasks. You can sort them by their due dates so as not to miss anything vital. Alternatively, you can do so alphabetically.

HibiDo

If you want to keep your work and personal life organise in one place, HibiDo has you covered. In this app, you can create lots of lists which you can customise to help you organise and prioritise your tasks.

You can add a new list by clicking the plus sign on the homepage, naming it, and choosing a colour and an icon for it so that you’ll know the theme of that particular list if you have to come back to it later. These features make this an ideal app to use if you are a visual learner or want an easily visible way to track your time.

It’s a user-friendly app, that’s easy to navigate and you can switch between tasks and notes with the touch of a button. You won’t need to search for any of the features thanks to the app’s smart design.

The Calendar in HibiDo syncs with the calendar on your iPhone, Android or tablet, and also syncs with Google Calendar. You change which calendar you’re looking at by tapping the three dots in the right-hand corner.

The List function shows a vertical view of your tasks that you can scroll through, making it a very practical feature. A cool drop-down menu makes it easy to seamlessly track both events and tasks.

Later we’ll look at what Taskito can offer. Next, though, let’s look at a popular one: Google Calendar.

Google Calendar

There’s more than one reason Google Calendar is one of the most popular calendar apps out there. You can sync Google Tasks and Google Calendar with your to-do list, thanks to the fantastic integration. This lets you keep track of your calendar and tasks in a single Gmail account, making it easier to stay organised.

Google Calander offers you the essentials without overwhelming you with features, and it’s easy to use.

If you’re on the lookout for a simple calendar app that works seamlessly with a slew of other apps and offers flexibility, you need look no further than the Google Calendar app.

24-me is like having your own personal assistant helping to streamline your schedule and keep you organised. Much like the other apps on this list, 24me has three tabs you can access directly from the homepage: Tasks, Calendar, and Notes.

In the Calendar tab, you’ll find templates designed to help you arrange appointments, book hotels, and make phone calls. There is also a useful weather display. You can change what calendars you see by navigating to Visible Calendars. There are 3 views of your schedule you can choose from:

  • 1 Day View.
  • 3 Day View.
  • 7 Day View.

The app will use smart reminders to help you stay on track. These reminders will be based on your personal schedule and tasks you must complete. What’s more, you can use the Today’s Agenda to help yourself prepare for the day ahead and ensure you don’t forget anything.

Now it’s time to talk about Taskito.

Taskito

Are your plans always changing? Taskito helps to manage your tasks one day at a time, so you can stay on top of things, no matter what the day brings. You can use the Timeline view to see a list of your events and tasks displayed in chronological order. It’s easy to add new tasks, just hit the add task button. You can then add tasks to task, so you can tell which tasks are the most urgent. You can break down bigger tasks into bite-sized chunks by creating a to-do list inside a task with the checklist tool.

Taskito also boasts a separate tool called Projects. Here you can group things together into a single project, for instance, work-related tasks. You can then sort them by due date and a status bar will show you the percentage of the tasks in that project you’ve completed, making it easy to keep an eye on your progress. This will help boost motivation and productivity. For more on the relationship between motivation and productivity, see “How Can I Stay Motivated and Boost Productivity?”

If you need a place to brainstorm and make quick notes, the Unplanned section of the app has you covered.

You can rest assured, then, that with Taskito as your ally, you can stay organised, know what you have to do and when, and will never need to fret over time management again.

TimeTree

TimeTree is another popular calendar-sharing app designed to help families and professionals stay organised. The features of this app are all focused on helping you improve your time management.

Apart from the main calendar, you can also access the Memo tab to take notes and make to-do lists. You can add these to-do lists to relevant events to help you plan them better and more efficiently.

Another plus of the TimeTree app is the calendar chat feature. This lets you discuss events and tasks with everyone involved to streamline your plans or workflow, and you can see any changes made to events or tasks in the same feature. This helps you to collaborate more effectively and may lead to increased productivity.

Wrapping Up

Now you know about half a dozen great apps to help you stay organised, why not try one of two of them and see if using them helps boost your productivity. These apps may even help keep you motivated and sharpen your time management.

At the very least, using one of these apps will likely help streamline your work and stay on top of things so you should feel less stressed. This may in itself help improve both work performance and productivity.

So, go ahead and pick your favourite, give it a whirl, and see how you get on.
